Pick the right tenant — without guessing, without slipping.
The decision moment is the most exposed step in the placement. We present the best candidates with a clear summary report for each. You decide with full information — on objective criteria, compliant with Quebec's Charter.
The step that matters most
Why selection is the critical step of placement.
Once the lease is signed, going back is very hard. Selection is the moment you commit to the quality of your leasing relationship for the next 12 months (and often more).
It's also the most legally exposed step: a poorly motivated refusal can lead to a CDPDJ complaint. Rigorous, documented selection protects you legally and economically.

How it works
We present the candidates — you compare and decide.

Profiles anonymized first
You see the objective fact sheet first — without name or photo — to decide free of unconscious bias.
Per-candidate summary sheet
One clear page per profile: objective criteria, motivated recommendation, points of caution.
Side-by-side comparison
Recap view to compare finalists on the same criteria.
Objective criteria only
No mention of protected criteria. The evaluation grid is uniform across candidates.
Explicit recommendation
Our professional opinion on the best profile — backed by file data.
Documented final decision
Whatever you decide, we record it to ensure a defensible record.
Legal compliance
Our selection criteria — strictly objective.
In Quebec, every tenant selection must rest on objective criteria. We apply this rule without exception, and we document the evaluation for each candidate.

Selection questions.
Six clear answers on the process, the report and the decision.
Free evaluationHow many candidates do you typically present?+
Between 2 and 5 finalists depending on market and unit. Beyond that, value drops: we present the best verified profiles, not every applicant received.
What does the selection report look like?+
A structured document per candidate: identity, payment capacity, credit, references, history, consistency, and motivated recommendation. You can compare profiles side by side.
Who makes the final decision?+
You. AA Location recommends based on documented objective criteria, but the choice of tenant is always yours — your unit, your decision.
What if I want to refuse a candidate you recommend?+
No problem — you keep full control. We simply document the decision and continue selection with other shortlisted candidates or new profiles if needed.
What if none of the shortlisted candidates work out?+
We restart marketing with adjustments (listing, targeting, price) — without re-launching the mandate. Selection is iterative until we find the right profile.
Is the selection compliant with Quebec's Charter?+
Yes, strictly. All our criteria are objective (payment, references, history, stability). No protected criterion (origin, religion, family status, etc.) is ever assessed. Our process is documented and defensible against CDPDJ complaints.
